- First, install the plugin on your site & activate it.
- After successful installation & activation, go to the sidebar panel where you will get VC PDF Setting to setup the PDF layout and other PDF settings.
- Go to the page for which you want to generate the PDF and click on the Edit with WPBakery Page Builder.
- After activation of the plugin, our 3 elements Download PDF Button, PDF Page Start, PDF Page End will be displayed in the Element Section.
- Go to the ‘Basic Setting’ tab under the ‘VC PDF Setting’ menu.
- Select any of one from the PDF Generation Mode to generate PDF.
- Exact Design & Layout – If you are generating PDF using Exact Mode then you have to use two more elements i.e. ‘PDF Page Start’ and ‘PDF Page End’. For starting the content to be included in the PDF you have to insert the ‘PDF Page Start’ element and to stop including content in the current page of the PDF you have to insert the ‘PDF Page End’ element. You may use this procedure for multiple pages.
Note: You may include multiple rows on one page of the PDF but vice-versa is not possible. If your PDF content is compressed to a certain part then please divide the whole content data into several rows along with the PDF Page Start and PDF Page End elements. Then you will get a clone of the page as a PDF. - Not Exact: In this mode, the PDF pages are divided automatically but CSS is not applied. You have to set styling manually through the PDF CSS Setting tab and write CSS in the PDF Custom CSS option from the plugin admin panel setting.

- Select allowed post type eg. Post, Page, Product, etc. for which you want to generate PDF.
- Click the ‘Save Changes’ button at the end of the page to save all the settings.
- Now create a new page.
- If using Exact Design & Layout mode then add two elements i.e. ‘PDF Page Start’ and ‘PDF Page End’. All the content must be between these two elements. Then add the Download PDF Button element and click on the Update button.
- Using Not-Exact then just add the Download PDF Button element and click on the Update button.
- Finally, go to your page view and click on the Download PDF Button to generate and download the PDF which retains the same layout and elements in the PDF page as on the website, blog, custom posts and so on.
